Can you procure XYZ?

We work in partnership with many companies both in Japan and overseas to ensure that the necessary items can be procured with full compatibility for use in Japan, exactly when they are needed. Even if something is not available in Japan, we can verify that and offer alternative solutions.

When should we start planning for IT/AV/Physical Security needs?

The earlier, the better. Depending on the goals of the office, technical requirements can influence decisions as early as the building selection phase. This may include factors such as cooling and power load capacity, emergency/backup power, redundancy and route diversity of network providers, physical space requirements for specialized areas like studios or theaters, or simply verifying the maximum size of equipment that can be physically moved into the office.

How long does it take to procure equipment in Japan?

Procurement in Japan can take longer than expected depending on the item, manufacturer, and type of product needed. For example, CAT6A cables currently have extended lead times due to the nationwide rollout of the “GIGA School” upgrade initiative.
While we strive to keep stock of commonly used items such as structured cabling materials, server racks, patch cables, power cords, and general accessories, there may be cases where required items are not readily available. Due to high space and transportation costs in Japan, many common items are from overseas brands and are imported. As a result, local inventory is often limited, and typical lead times for many products can be expected to range from 2 to 3 months.
