Health and Safety Policy
Purpose and Scope
Our Company is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and secure working environment for all employees and subcontractors. This Health and Safety Policy is established in accordance with Japanese labor laws and occupational safety regulations, including the Industrial Safety and Health Act, the Labor Standards Act, and the Fire Service Act. The purpose of this policy is to ensure the safety and health of workers in the workplace and facilitate the creation of a comfortable work environment. This policy applies to all company employees (full-time, part-time, and temporary) and any subcontractors or third parties engaged in IT, network cabling, server room setup, hardware installation, or audio-visual equipment installation and configuration on behalf of our Company. It covers all work locations, including our offices, client sites, construction sites, and any area where our employees or subcontractors perform work.
Legal Compliance
Our Company will comply with all relevant Japanese occupational health and safety laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Industrial Safety and Health Act (ISHA) – which provides the framework for preventing workplace accidents and ill-health. We will meet or exceed the minimum safety standards outlined in the ISHA and strive to improve working conditions continuously.
- Labor Standards Act – which covers general labor conditions. We will adhere to provisions on working hours, rest periods, and other working conditions to protect workers’ well-being.
- Fire Service Act – which mandates fire prevention measures in workplaces. We will ensure compliance with fire safety requirements such as maintaining emergency exits, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and conducting fire drills as required.
- Other Applicable Regulations – including local ordinances and standards related to electrical work, construction safety, and use of equipment. For example, when performing electrical installation work, we will follow the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health and any requirements for certified electricians or engineers as required by Japanese law.
All employees and subcontractors must understand and comply with these laws and regulations as a condition of their employment or contract. Where this policy imposes stricter requirements than legal minimums, the policy must be followed. Failure to follow safety laws or this company policy will be addressed through disciplinary action or contract enforcement, as appropriate.
