mtc is a Tokyo-based consulting and installation company specializing in AV, IT, and physical security. We primarily serve foreign-affiliated enterprise clients and handle installations in Grade A office buildings in central Tokyo, such as Marunouchi, Toranomon, and Roppongi Hills. About This Position

This role serves as a bridge between sales and engineering. You will be responsible for the entire process of gathering requirements from clients, collaborating with engineers to create quotes, and compiling them into proposals.

This position prioritizes the ability to listen carefully to others and organize their input, as well as the capacity to maintain thoughtful communication, over technical expertise. There are no sales quotas or numerical targets. The role is primarily office-based, with field work limited to meetings and trade shows as needed. You will acquire product knowledge through your daily work.

Job Responsibilities

・Receiving inquiries from clients and gathering requirements

・Collecting and managing onboarding information for new clients

・Preparing and compiling quotes in collaboration with engineers

・Requesting, comparing, and collecting quotes from manufacturers and distributors

・Preparing and coordinating proposal materials with the sales team

・Maintaining daily communication and building relationships with manufacturers and distributors

・Scheduling and participating in product demos and briefings

・Attending and observing industry trade shows (such as ISE) and sharing insights internally

Requirements

Required

・Ability to communicate in Japanese in a business context

・Ability to organize and summarize information from others

・Basic proficiency in Excel or spreadsheet software

・Attention to detail and meticulousness to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

・Some practical experience in the construction, interior design, facilities, AV, or IT industries

・Experience preparing quotes or proposals (industry not limited)

・Basic English reading and writing skills

・Work experience in a foreign-affiliated or international environment

Job Description

Employment Type: Contract Employee (Renewable; Path to Full-Time Employment Available)

Work Location: Tokyo (Primarily office-based)

Working Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (8-hour workday)

Estimated Annual Salary: 4–7.5 million yen (determined based on experience and skills)

Probationary Period: 3 months (no change in compensation)

Holidays & Leave: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year holidays, paid leave (as required by law)

Language Requirements: Japanese: Business level required

English: Basic reading and writing skills required

Insurance: Social insurance, employment insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance provided
